Jerry McClain was a longtime member of the Atlanta Jugglers Association. He and his wife Brenda and sons Sam and Tim helped every year at the Groundhog Day Jugglers Festival. Brenda continued to help at the registration desk for many years after Gumby passed away.

Jerry "Gumby" Steven McClain, 32, of Marietta, formerly of Greenville, died Nov. 13, 1995, after a short illness. He was an employee of Champion Computers in Alpharetta, Ga. He was a graduate of Washington Avenue Christian School in Greenville and DeVry Technical Institute in Atlanta.
